Registered Psychotherapist

Gabriela Vilar is registered in the College of Psychotherapists of  Ontario (CRPO) as well as a member of the Ontario Association of Mental  Health Professionals (OAMHP). She also holds a master's degree in  Counselling and a Career and Work Counsellor Diploma. 

Since 2003,  Gabriela has been involved in the Counselling and Therapy field constantly. Continuously learning and guiding individuals, families and  couples through life transitions, challenges and mental health issues.
Her approach to counselling is eclectic, which means that it combines a  wide selection of theories, tools and techniques in accordance with the patient's individual needs and personality style (these include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment and Systems Theories and Career Counselling.
Her goal is to help identify  the underlying reasons that could be causing these issues and help to point out and stop unhelpful patterns, in a caring, open manner in a  valiant effort to reach her patient’s goals.
